INITIAL APPROACH TO TRAUMA IN THE EMERGENCY SERVICES

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Emergency personnel should be trained to a level where it can make a prompt and efficient diagnostic approach; run priority interventions that change the direction from deterioration to the improvement of his patient and to determine additional support schemes that are consistent with current technologies .

This training program will confront every attendee, taking in the company of experienced instructors, to implement individual vital interventions that benefit the survival of their patients.

Specialists, General Practitioners and Heads of Nursing who work in Emergency Services.

  • Sequential trauma approach in the different systems.
  • Escharotomy for critically burned patients.
  • Determination of Blood Pressure Indices (API) for the diagnosis of arterial injury.
  • Thoracotomy Tube Placement.
  • Exploration of traumatic wounds.
  • Epiplocele and evisceration Management.
  • Use of Laryngeal Tube, Laryngeal Mask and Fast-Track.
  • New additions to the airway.
